I have NHL09 which has started to buffer on my laptop

I have NHL 09 installed on my Lenovo G50 laptop, the game has been playing ok but last few days has started buffering and running slow. any ideas what may be causing this??

Something has to have changed since you are seeing a marked change in the game.

Did you installed some new software recently?

Have you kept up with Windows Updates?
