I tried combatibility mode as Windows 7 on the dosbox file.

Z:\Games\Ultima Underworld 2\DATA\DOSBox\DOSBox.exe

Change the compatibility mode to Windows 7. If someone is using this as a solution and it still doesn't work, try adding administrative privilages.

I don't know why we need to run it under Windows 7

@Lilrock_Rocks Hi,

Which folder did you install the game too? I'd first suggest a Clean Boot, just to ensure that no programs are interfering in the background: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

Cheers,

Nils

@EA_Nils Thanks for the support,

Unfortunely, the problem persists. I did a clean boot and connected to origin (Since the game can't be run in offline mode).

The location of the program is in Z:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Ultima Underworld 2\ . While in the _installer, I found a log file of the installation.

It says:

I have 2 hard drives and I put my second one to Z and organized it to my needs. The program files added itself because of origin and I decided to leave it like that. It makes my files look a little off though.

These are the processes that I tried to do:

1) Uninstall, Install, play

2) Uninstall, install, play, repair, play

3) Check of update, play, repair, play, Uninstall, install, play

+) other similar combinations

Thanks for the assistance

@Lilrock_Rocks Hi,

Can you try installing it to a non system folder? e.g. to Z:\Games instead of Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\

You can change the installation folder in the Origin Client by clicking on Origin (top left corner) > Application Settings > Advanced tab > Downloaded Games. Now click the Change... button there and specify another folder to see whether installing it there will work.

Cheers,

Nils

I tried combatibility mode as Windows 7 on the dosbox file.

Z:\Games\Ultima Underworld 2\DATA\DOSBox\DOSBox.exe

Change the compatibility mode to Windows 7. If someone is using this as a solution and it still doesn't work, try adding administrative privilages.

I don't know why we need to run it under Windows 7
