How to Launch Battle for middle earth 2 windows 10

Barry,

Thank you very much for replying.  I downloaded the file and still does not work.  Are there settings in "properties" that need to be set up in a particular way?  I did go in after applying the link tried just about every compatibility option (Windows 8, 7 XP SP 1,2, 3) I even tried Vista and me.  None of those seemed to do it either.  I'm going to attach 2 pics from where I start the game to where the program will sit and think for a minute or so, make a windows 10 alert and will then just sit there on that screen.  The one thing I have noticed is that the error message is not popping up any longer at this time.  What do you recommend trying next?

I have the little "admin" symbol over my game icon.  I selected the "run this program as the administrator".  the compatibility is on the default setting "windows xp service pack 3".  I'm still getting the same outcome.  the program just sits there and thinks with a "blue circle".  Attached are pics of what I've done.
