Launching Jade Empire

I recently bought a DVD copy of Jade Empire Special Edition for PC and I am having trouble getting past the launch page. When I press 'play' from the launcher it doesn't bring me to the main title screen. I've tried looking at solutions online, and the only ones I've found were in regards to the downloaded version of the game found on Steam, which is not my case.

My computer is running on Windows 10 and the DVD is in perfect condition.
