I'm having a persistent problem while running Dead Space 3. At random intervals, the cursor for my mouse will appear in the center of the screen (I am using an Xbox 360 controller to play). When this happens, the game no longer responds to anything I do. My controller does nothing, hitting the Escape key no longer lets me exit the game, I can't even alt tab out of it to shut it down. The only option left is to completely shut my computer down and do a manual restart.
I don't think this is a hardware issue, because the game plays problem free the rest of the time, and I've even tried lowering the settings with no results.
Has anybody else experienced this problem, and does anyone know how to resolve it?
EDIT: I forgot to mention that the sound cuts out whenever this happens too.
