Invite to games

My friend and I can't invite each other to a game. We've tried invite via friends list, it comes up with the EA friends interface and only lets us send a message to eachother, no options to invite. We have also tried using the "browse friends games" option however nothing came up regardless of who hosted.

Wanted to reach out and see if you were still unable to send those friend invites. Are you playing on the EA App or through Steam?
