HUGE ISSUE! Just went onto origin the website and bought SimCity 5. It then tells me I need to download Origin to play. And I'm like "alright". So I download it and try to open it up. After about 2-4 minutes of loading, the login-in thing pops up. So I enter all my information, and The error "Online Login is Currently Unavailable" comes up. So I enter my information in AGAIN, and after a while of loading another error "Could not connect to the server please try again in a few minutes" pops up. So I try exiting out and trying again. Same error. This is a list of everything I tried to do to fix it (after researching similar issues):
Reinstalling the software and restarting my computer up; making sure the proxy thing was un-ticked (it was); going on my virus protection software and making sure Origin was not blocked (it wasn't blocked); making sure windows was up to date (it was); I did all four of these things multiple times for hours and nothing has worked. NOTHING. There goes EA stealing $40 out of my pocket for some broken software. I dont expect any actual EA specialists to comment on this thread considering they couldnt give a flying **bleep** about their customers. Only their money.

Please manually uninstall Origin, then download the latest version of Origin and run the installation again. After the reinstall please do a Clean Boot and also reboot your router.

i have already done all of this and nothing helped. I reinstalled origin countless times, restarted my router and computer multiple times, AND have done a clean boot 3 times.

Try disabling your antivirus and firewall and then reset your internet explorer settings.
Reset internet explorer settings
Also add ports for Origin :

Just did everything. I reset the internet explorer settings, added ports for Origin in my spyware, and nothing worked. Im clueless. Also it might be helpfull info to know i have not installed any games on origin yet (not that i have been able to), i have only bought one on the website. This being said i also have not EVER successfully started up the origin software. I have only gotten as far as it telling me "you must be online when logging in for the first time". I have noticed LOTS of other people have had this issue for a long time, some with simple fixes, others with no known fixes. It would be amazing if you guys could try working on a patch to solve this HUGE issue lots of people are having. Thanks for getting back so soon.

This issue is being most common now a days. I am also trying to get this fixed with many troubleshootings. Some time got fixed some time didn't.
You may also try this if you have not yet tried :
Control Panel - Network and Internet - Network and sharing center - change adapter setting - right click local area connection and select properties - double click internet protocol version 4 - select the circle that says use the following DNS server addresses - within the preferrered DNS server type in 8.8.8.8 - within the alternate DNS server type in 8.8.4.4 - click ok.

If the advise given above does not help, you may also want to check this one. The clean boot may have taken care of some of the programs that could have been interfering, but there are some additionals pointers regarding proxies, in case you have such set up: http://help.ea.com/en/article/programs-that-may-cause-conflicts-with-origin/

Just changed my dns server to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, no luck. Also looked at the list of programs that effected Origin. If the clean boot didnt fix anything, then its not the programs interfering with the Origin software. Im about to give up at this point. I dont understand how steam is so easy to get started without an issue and hardly ever has an issue, but Origin wont even get started once. Its very inefficient to have to have the people who are haveing these issues (a lot of people) be instructed to do these long steps to have to get a software started up. Also EXTREMELY bad to have people disable their fire wall to try to install it. A fix is NEEDED for Origin soon. People have been having these issues for a long time and some STILL havent been able to get it working again. Not trying to sound aggressive, its just that i bought a game expecting to play it, and i cant.

If EA doesnt release a fix ASAP, im just going to get a refund for the game i cant play because EA makes broken software, and get a different game that wasnt made by EA.
