February 2015
I had an Origin account linked to my Xbox Gamertag, I don't know how or when but it was there, I was trying to link my Origin account and it said there was one already linked. Anyway, I followed the link EA_Najat posted and got in contact with tech support. After telling him I wanted the old Origin unlinked and the new one linked he told me all the saved data could be erased, yada yada, I didn't care, but then after he put me on hold to do whatever he told me he could merge the two accounts, problem solved, it worked!
It was not that big of a deal and it took maybe an hour.

so i have been trying to contact an rep for over a month. once i managed to talk to one and they said the problem was fixed but they didn't unlink my accounts. i am still trying to talk to an rep and there seems to be none. i have been a loyal customer for years and this feels really crappy that i get treated like this when it is a big issue with a lot of people.

I've spoken to three reps over live chat. The first two said to try back during the week as it needed to be done by a 'specialist' and third said it couldn't be done because there was no policy about it and if I had the old origins account cancelled (currently connected to my xbox live account) I wouldn't be able to relink the gamertag to another account.

i have a origin id that i no longer use and my xbox 360 account is linked to it so i cant connect my xbox one account to my new origin id and i have no way of getting in contact with ea support

Greetings everyone,
As outlined here: http://help.ea.com/en/article/linking-your-origin-account-with-your-psn-id-and-gamertag/
If your console IDs are connected to different EA Accounts or to an incorrect account, it may be possible to have an EA Advisor transfer certain items for you. However, doing so can result in permanently losing data from your EA Account, console account, or both. You can find more details on the risks of persona transfers here.
If you have multiple EA Accounts with console IDs connected to them and you want the console IDs to be on the same EA Account, an EA Advisor can move the console account for you*. You will need to verify ownership on all accounts involved.
Please note: moving a console ID will cause you to lose your game status and progress, items purchased and/or earned in your games, content that you have associated with one or both accounts, and access to certain online services for games. Your EA Advisor can tell you what you will lose based on your account information.
If you have multiple EA Accounts with games or content on them but your console IDs are connected to just one of them, contact an EA Advisor. They can transfer your games and other content to the EA Account that is connected to your console IDs.
Please note: Doing this may result in the loss of progress, saved data or stats from your games. This includes any content you have saved to the Origin Cloud, any multiplayer progression, and potentially offline save game progression.
*EA Advisors cannot transfer your console ID to an EA Account that already has a console ID of the same type (Xbox LIVE gamertag or PlayStation online ID) attached to it.
Cheers,
Nils

I just finished speaking with an EA Advisor and was told they couldn't and wouldn't unlink my PSN ID from an old Origin account that didn't have any games on it. Why is one side saying it's possible to unlink/merge PSN IDs and the other side saying it's not?
