I clicked the play button to play Sims 4 and a pop up popped up and said "Unable to start: The contents of your user data directory were created by a newer version of the Sims 4 and cannot be loaded. Please update your game via Origin to play." How do I update it?

Just right click the game in Origin and then Check for update and follow the on screen instructions.

Usually happens if the auto save corrupts
