Origin closes after Exiting EA game

It is becoming very annoying and somewhat confusing that Origin launch would atuomatically close after exiting an EA Game. I've tried looking for options to turn off Origin Exit after quiting a game but can't find it in the help menu. Every time I exit an EA game the Launcher closes making me restart Origin to play another EA game...Not nice.

If I'm making a mistake please be kind enough to show me where I messed up, but if this is a stupid Marketing gimik to force players to go to there stupid website,.. it's backfiring because I simply go back to Steam and the hell with EA, if that's the way they want us to play.

This worked for me in Windows 10:

1. Close Origin
2. Go to the start menu and open Run
3. Type in %appdata%/Origin
4. Open the file local_[big string of numbers and letters].xml in notepad
5. Find <Setting key="ShutdownOriginOnGameFinished" value="true" type="1">
6. Change value="true" to value="false"
7. Save the file
8. Open Origin again and you're done.

@ron0549 Origin shouldn't normally shut down after closing a game, no. However, there is an option to do so if you wish.

Click Origin in the top left, then Application Settings>Advanced then scroll down to Automatic Exit. There's a checkbox there, untick this and you should no longer see this behaviour.

Where can I find this option in the new client (10.0.1)?

I activated this in the old client and now the new one is closing after each game. When I try to get in a new game it´s always asking about to use the cloud or local stored profile.

Yes this option was available in earlier version. But after the update to new origin client, this option is missing. I had selected the option to close origin in earlier version, but now I dont want to close the client, but whenever I close the game, the origin client also closes.

Same problem here, enabled it in Origin 9. Now I can't undo this in Origin 10.

I am having the same problem. Origin exists right after I play so I can't save my game progress in the Cloud Someone please help! I have to keep doing cloud saves manually from my computer everytime I want to play Inquisition!
