@smoky0mcpot  try using DPI compatibility on shortcut's compatiiblity tab.

May or may not resolve the issue.Confusedmileyhappy:

You have all data for W8 AND W8.1 http://blogs.windows.com/bloggingwindows/2013/07/15/windows-8-1-dpi-scaling-enhancements/

A lot of us are still waiting for this to be fixed... "DPI compatibility mode" doesn't work for this, the client needs to support high DPI displays.

I have a 4K gaming monitor, 28" and a resolution of 3840 x 2160 with 200% scaling. Origin is miniscule and cannot be read. It's been over a year since the OP. Please advise.

I'm having the same problem, and it's creeping into my games. I can't play Sims 4 on my new laptop because while the graphics are perfectly fine, the menus are as ridiculously tiny as Origin is. As stated, Steam does not have this problem, nor do any other programs except for the rare occurrance, and even those are usually not troublesome.

The problem still there! It's 2015, not 2014. But this issue is still not fixed!!!

What a joke!

Sent from my lovely high resolution laptop!

I got a solution!!!

for every application that has this resolution  problem!

1) click winkey + r

2) type: regedit and press enter

3) go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SideBySide

4) add a property DWORD with the name PreferExternalManifest with base Decimal and value of 1

5) add this file Origin.exe.manifest to the origin directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin" and you done!

Greetings everyone,

We released a new beta client in which we attempted to fix how we handle scaling in Origin.

You can opt-in to Beta by doing the following:

  • Launch and sign in to the Origin client.
  • Select Application Settings from the Origin menu
  • In the General tab, scroll to the bottom and find the Origin Beta Participation section.
  • Select the Update to the beta version if available check box.
  • Now restart your Origin Client, it will prompt you to install the latest Origin Beta Client.

Your feedback would be appreciated, thanks everyone for checking in advance.

Cheers,

Nils

P.S.: @tomerofer Thanks for sharing that. Worth a test for anyone not happy with the results from the Beta Client.
