Issues with installing Medal of Honor: Allied Assault - Warchest

★★★ Newbie

I've recently bought Medal of Honor: Allied Assault - Warchest. Origin seems to download it just fine, but when it moves to the Install phase, it just stays there. Tells me the game is "Installing...", doesn't allow me to pause or cancel the installation, and never finishes or shows anything else. What should I do?

@mfornaciari go to SAFE MODE with Networking and do the steps...

#run the setup file Origin with Admin rights. http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-do-i-run-a-program-or-a-game-as-an-administrator/#2

#run Origin - install game and you should be fine.

Look here to enter in Safe Mod http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows...

What is SAFE MOD ?
- In Safe Mode operating system will have a reduced functionality, but the task of solving problems will be easier because most components (services, drivers, programs, etc.) that are not critical system will not be loaded.
- Safe Mode provides access to diagnostic tools and programs, giving the user the ability to solve problems that prevent the operating system to work properly. Safe Mode is intended as a way to maintain and not an operating mode.

Constantly updating drivers is a good way to Mess'up the whole system. ""Don't fixit with it if it ain't broken!""

My Opinion is no more important or right than yours.- Ask, and it shall be given you.

Just tried that. Once i restarted Origin, I was able to "Repair" the game. That also kept going on endlessly, but Origin allowed me to cancel it. Then, instead of repairing, the option to "Download" showed up again. Clicked that, and pretty much the same thing as the first time happened, with the exception that I didn't have to wait for the game to download, it just went straight to the "Installing" phase and got stuck again.

@mfornaciari necessarily have to do these steps..
#manually uninstall Origin http://help.ea.com/en/article/manually-uninstalling-origin/
#run CCleaner http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-use-ccleaner-to-fix-pc-issues/
#install Origin https://www.origin.com/en-ie/download
-and do this...
First step... updating your Origin client...to the latest Beta version /top left Origin menu, Application Settings - General..
The second step... restart Origin and make sure you are the administrator, run the setup file Origin with Admin rights.

Well, never mind. Was about to try that, until I noticed this time around, although the game still counted as "Installing", it also allowed me to play. Clicked there, played for a bit, and now it looks like everything is just fine. Not quite sure why, but anyways, as long as it's working... Thanks for the help!
