x360ce_lib64_r766.zip or x360ce_lib32_r766.zip .  (file ,only choose the appropriate one for your system do not install both of these.)

 Instructions and notes.

You should only have your wheel plugged in for this process , disconnect other controllers! This is very important.

Make sure you already have Logitech Profiler software installed (or whatever software your wheel has if any)

-install logitech profiler / wheel software

-install game!

-open game verify it works with keyboard!

-extract x360ceApp and which ever 32/64 lib files to your games installation folder, you will only be extracting two files total.

-run the x360ce app inside your games folder, a window will popup looking like this http://i.imgur.com/cNzfDD9.png

-should already be set to 'Search the internet' , tell it yes to Search the internet, you should end up seeing double green check marks indicating success.

you aren't done.

-click FINISH, you will see this a screen like this http://i.imgur.com/rPlimi0.png

-click on the Settings Database tab

-click on Global Settings tab,

-you will then be given a list of Devices and how many users are using the specific settings for whatever device, in my case it was the Logitech G27.(I recommend going with the highest users count but make sure if you have 64bit windows , that you are clickin one that uses NFS14.exe and not one that uses NFS14_x86 ! ,find one and double click it that correlates to what bit your computer is.

-CLICK YES! http://i.imgur.com/76d85Rc.png when prompted "Do you want to load Global Setting:x360ce.App.com x360ce.localhost.Summary For 1. Logitech G27 Racing wheel USB?")

-Run game , see if you have support

If your game crashes, a step was skipped or missed or who knows what, don't lose heart right away though..

All the files found in the two archives + downloaded with the x360.exe application can be readily deleted (7) I am listing them here for you.

they are as follows

-x360ce.exe

-dinput8.dll

-LGPL.txt

-LICENSE.txt

-x360ce.gdb

-x360ce.sample.ini

-xinput1_3.dll

As promised, here is a quick video

This first reply post is reserved for me when I receive the first confirmation of success from a fellow gamer, I will detail out how to further config the game. In the mean time, if anyone wants to skip waiting on me, I have provided a link to my profile in Logitech Profiler here

Zip contents includes NFS Rivals.xml , I exported my profile from Logitech Profiler.

Hey there,

First off I have to say that this is a great initiative: I know a lot of players were pretty upset at the lack of support for racing wheels when the game first came out, so it,s great to see someone passionate enough to look into providing it for the community at large. Props for that.

Second, I'd like to ask you to include a disclaimer in your OP, the usual stuff, just reminding users to use their best judgement and not attempt any manipulations they are not comfortable trying out, because we can't guarantee it'll work for everyone.

Sounds good?

PS: I'd try it myself, but I'm among the heretics who play NFS on a keyboard... and I finished the game on Xbox afterwards.

Unortunatelly the links are dead.. Thanks anyway for your efforts! So silly that a driving game like this doesn't support steering wheels, I still could not believe that is really happening. Hope that Microsoft will not suspend keyboard support in Word and Photoshop will still offer mouse support .. LOL It's about the same that the guys from EA had done with NFS Rivals. What a pitty, what a shame.... RIP NFS saga!

Hey,
I recently started playing again and wanna try out the game with my steering wheel. But since I have a lot of progress, I just wanted to be sure this "mod" doesn't get rid of my save/progress. Please let me know!
Thanks in advance
