gamepad support

My gamepad is not working properly with Need for Speed Most wanted 2012 pc game. I have a generic usb gamepad.  I configured it & it works for some controlles but not working while using maps.

Plese suggest me the best solution.

Should I have to buy any other controller like logitech f310 or xbox 360, if then suggest me.

The following peripherals are compatible with Need For Speed™ Most Wanted:

• Microsoft Windows compatible keyboard.
• Microsoft(TM) Xbox 360 Controller for Windows(R)
• Microsoft(TM) DirectInput compatible devices

If your device is not recognized automatically, or if you'd like to modify the configuration the game has pre-assigned to your controller, select ‘Controller’ in the Gameplay section of the settings menu.

When you re-map your controls the new configuration is saved in a file called controls.NFS13Save in Documents\Criterion Games\Need for Speed(TM) Most Wanted\Save\

Make sure this file is not corrupted or missing.

If the file is missing you can always repair your game client. Open Origin and then right-click on the game image, select 'Repair'.
