Game Crashing

[ Edited ]
★★★ Novice

When playing MW2 for like 5-10 min or early my game crashes. It just shows a black screen then my game stops. On the console it says graphic NVIDIA 560 gtx i have 260 gtx im 100% sure that this happens because of the graphic but i want to ask this anyway. Do you really need 64 bit OS or can you still play on 32 without game crashes.

Oh and how much GHz procesor do you need? I have quad core 2.80 GHz.

Every time when my game crashes this comes out:

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Users\AppData\Local\Temp\WERE842.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
C:\Users\AppData\Local\Temp\WERBAA.tmp.appcompat.txt
C:\Users\AppData\Local\Temp\WERC28.tmp.mdmp

IDK what to do :

Thank you 4 reading !

So I have done some research 'nvwgf2um.dll' appears to be one of your video card driver's file.

You should reinstall the driver for your graphic card:

Basically this issue is most likely related to your graphic card driver.

Try using the repair tool in Origin first.

To use Repair Install for your game:

  1. Go to My Games in Origin
  2. Right-click the game image
  3. Select "Repair Install"

Then try temporarily disabling Origin In Game in your Origin Application Settings. This should resolve the issue:

To do so:
  1. Launch the Origin client.
  2. Go to the Origin menu, Application Settings, select Origin In Game,
  3. Uncheck "Enable Origin In Game"

Update your drivers, check for updates especially for your video/graphic card.

Finally try the windowed mode.  If you can play normally in windowed mode, then this issue is likely due to the screen resolution, you'll just need to adjust this setting. Launch the game and press Alt + enter simultaneously in order to trigger the windowed mode.

Thank you for the replay
But the game started to crash again. I did everything, but it still crashes !
It just shows a black screen and after that a white screen comes up saying most wanted has stop working.
Another thing that also sometimes happens is: When my game crashes it shows a black screen but the audio is still running and i cant see anything!

If you have any more ideas i will be happy to hear them !

Can you please check if the crash has been recorded in the event viewer - If so can you then copy/paste the report please?

  • Go to your Start menu, and click on the "Search Programs and Files"to ensure your cursor is in the search field.
  • Search for and open a program called "Event Viewer."
  • Select the folder called "Window Logs" and click on "Application."
