Need for Speed Hot Pursuit error [ Edited ]

I purchased Instant Access for Hot Pursuit through Amazon. I downloaded the game normally, but when I try to play it, there is an error that says:

We are unable to connect to EA servers to activate Need for Speed Hot Puruit on this computer using your account. Please try again later.

I've tried several times, but the same thing happens over and over.

Please help! I really want to play this game!

I'm using Windows 8.1 OS 64 bit.

On the 10th of May, there was a temporary issue that has been resolved since so you should now be able to play the game normally.
