In the be a pro - live the life game I went into the player growth screen and noticed my overall rating was really low (62 I think from memory). I also found that my speed attribute was down to 36 which was around 80-90. I thought maybe my player was injured but nothing was listed under team injuries for my guy.
Did my guy get hurt and I missed a popup message about it or something?
40 speed sucks big time.

Your player is most definetly injured. The only way it's possible to get that low of speed is to get injured. It doesnt say your injured because of one of many bugs in Live the life but you can expect bugs in an entirely new game-mode. You most likely have either a leg injury or a head injury which is causing you to skate so slowly. Continue playing and eventually your injury will be healed and your attributes will be back to normal. The only down side to this is that there is no way of knowing how long it will take to heal. Have a great night! mileyhappy:

- If I helped you I could really use the XP it helps me a bunch and it shows me that I have helped you in some way at the least. Have a great night!

This is my repost from other thread:
At the first - sorry for my english.
I had same problem in "Live the life" mode. My "stamina" attribute was 90. Then i made a choise to not to go with my friends in to the club and got +20 to "stamina" and "durability". My new "stamina" attribute have been 100 and " durability" = 90. After a few games i noticed that my player is too fatigue after just a few seconds been on the ice. I went to my "attribute" menu and saw that my "stamina" is only 36. My player had no injuries.
Im dissapointed :'(
I still have this issue. I have simulated for a 3 month and my attribute didn't back to normal. I think that problem in game code, when you exceeded 100 (in my example for instance) in any your attribute it will be low for next day, when your attribute tries to go to normal.

Just went through this. My player went from 90+ speed to 33. Really sucked as I was entering the playoffs when it happened. It basically wasted all the time I spent on my player because now he's completely useless. This isn't an exaggeration either. I can't get to any loose puck, can't hit, can't get away from defenders. The game sucks now. Get your **bleep** together EA.
I can confirm that it happened after I did something (eat healthy, not go party, whatever) and got temporary bonuses to my stats. I guess having my speed go over 100 created this glitch. This is not a result of an injury.
Really, really horrible and I'm livid that so many hours went down the drain.

This is one of the reasons it's a good idea to make backups for your offline game modes. My system is to use a two-save pair, e.g., "C Grinder A" and "C Grinder B" and I just leapfrog them so one save is always a day or so behind. If something goes screwy, I have a better chance of avoiding it by going back to yesterday's save.

Just had a similar problem and it sucks there is no fix to this from what I see on this thread. Did a full year in juniors got my overall rating up to 84 and my speed and acceleration were 90's. Got drafted first overall and played all pre-season games...everything was fine. After my 2nd NHL game of the season I got the eat healthy bonus and now both my speed and acceleration are in the 30's. This has royally screwed my game. If only they would at least give you back the XP points to get it back to what it was. I don't feel like playing with my player this slow and building it all back up if it might give me another bonus and screw it up again.
If EA can't be bothered to fix the problems then there's no point in playing it or even buying another EA NHL game ever again. Maybe instead of adding a bunch of crap to it every year they should focus on making it actually work right to begin with.
I'm beyond annoyed right now.
