Before posting this, I've scoured for answers around the net, and none of the solution seems to be working.
My Mass Effect 3 was working perfectly yesterday, but I faced this issue running it today. I've tried a lot of the solutions that were recommended, but none worked.
I've made both ME3 and Origin an exception for my Windows Firewall, Both Origin and Mass Effect 3 is installed on C: instead of D:, I've deleted and reinstalled Origin with Origin's latest installer, ran Origin in Administrator mode, and even deleted and redownloaded my Mass Effect 3. It's still not working.
Does anyone have any other solution for me to try?

Did the Windows 10 update got installed on your Machine recently?
Try to cler your Origin cache.
All settings in Origin (only in Origin not in the games) are back to default settings after this.)
- close Origin completely. (right click on the Origin symbol in the task bar > close)
- Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
- Type or copy "%ProgramData%/Origin" (without quotes) > hit ENTER
- Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for the "LocalContent" folder. (The "LocalContent" folder must remain untouched.)
- Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
- Type or copy "%AppData%" (without quotes) > hit ENTER
- Now your Windows explorer should have brought you to your "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Roaming" folder
- Delate the "Origin" folder inside the "Roaming" folder
- In the address bar of your Windows explorer click on the word "AppData".
- Open the "Local" folder
- Delate the "Origin" folder inside the "Local" folder
- Restart your PC. > test

If that don't works, look at this guide. to preform a clean uninstall of Origin.

@holger1405 , I'm getting the same error in ME3 as the orginal poster. I tried a simple uninstall/reinstall of Origin, which did not work.
Then I manually deleted all Origin files (besides Local), then reinstalled Origin. That did not work.
Then I followed your link to do the hard uninstall of Origin. Finishing that, I reinstalled Origin. Origin this time re-verified my game files and repaired them. But still, I got the same error on startup.
I do use mods, so my next plan is to do a fresh uninstall/reinstall of the game, but is there any other solution?
I should also mention that everything was working fine until a recent Origin update, after which the Origin app told me my subscription had expired (I don't have one) and I'd have to buy the game (I already did). However, that message eventually vanished, allowing Origin to start up ME3 - but of course, upon start up, the game shows the "Origin has stopped working...." error message.

Because of the error message regarding "your subscription had expired", I would suggest that you contact EA directly. This could be a account problem.
You also could try EAs Support on Twitter or on Facebook.
Tell them to check the entitlements/licenses on your account regarding ME3.

Thank you! EA Support was able to fix the issue very quickly. This will definitely be my first go-to if I come across the issue again, since the other Origin reinstall methods led to me needing to restore Mass Effect 3 clean from a backup.

You're welcome!
