I bought a code from gamestop and its invalid?

I just bought 1200 bioware points- omega dlc 

I went to redeem it and it said it was invalid 

Can I get some help on this

I found that I need to put the code in 

the Social Bioware Network 

because if you put it in Origin it declines it
