Every time I try to connect to multiplayer I get booted!

I have Mass Effect 3 for the PS3 and I have used my code to redeem my online pass. It shows me it is in my download list. I have tried redownloading from inside the game. Yet every time I try to access multiplayer, I get an error saying I cannot be connected to the EA servers. Is this a common problem why cant I connect? I feel like I am getting shisted out of half the game.

So I took my machine out to the garage and hit all the vents with the air compressor. Now it connected. I guess the processor just got bogged up. Hope this helps others having the problem.
