PC/ 360 controller for Mass effect

Can i use a PC/xbox controller for steam version of Mass Effect 1& 2 deluxe editions.

I said partial controll on steam, But its got no functionality.

Am i missing a plug in or something?

There is no native support for controllers on the PC.  None.

The only thing I've heard some players have success using is the 3rd-party utility "xpadder".

Definitely a mistake on Steam. The games have no native controller support on PC. You can either use third party software like Xpadder or mod a config file, but the latter isn't too great because you'll have missing GUI elements.
