Mass Effect 2 "EA application UI stopped working" game will not start

Hello,

Windows 7 proffessional 64 bit

intel i7 cpu

32 bits ddr3

radeon 5770

I have bought the me2 dd edition and installed it but i cannot start the game.  I keep getting an " EA application UI stopped working" error.  Can anyone help me with this issue?

Is this on Origin? If so, in the Origin settings, try disabling the Origin in-game overlay.
