WASD Not working on Mass Effect 1?

I've played through the whole trilogy of Mass Effect many times. I want to do another with a strictly renegade Shepard. I made my guy, loaded it up, and when I have to meet Captain Anderson my WASD keys won't work. I'm stuck in the cockpit and I cannot move. I have no key restrictions or anything, I play on Origin, obviously, and I play on Windows 7. It works in every other Mass Effect except 1. I tried to configure the keyboard, but it still didn't work and it won't even let me press WASD. Please help?
