Technical Problems before i even started playing!

I have just installed the game and i encountered two problems right out of the gate:

1. I can't raise the resolution over 1200X800

2. there is no xbox 360 controller support, which is odd due to the fact that this was originally a xbox 360 game!

if any one have had this problems too and know how to fix them ill be happy to hear about it

tried contacting EA but the chat does not work

Here you can see the double arrow where you have to scroll down to get to the higher resolution.

Here you can find a MOD that adds Xbox controller support to ME1.
