I bought a copy of ME1 through the Origin Store as I fancied a complete PC ME playthrough as my old copy of ME1 is on Xbox and 2 & 3 are on PC.
I installed, auto Origin patched clicked Play and.... nothing. I googled, set all involved to Admin and compatibility modes (i7 2700 3.5mHz, 8gb, Win7 64hp)... nothing. More googling, manually instal 1.02 patch, run... action of a sort; enter product key screen from windows 3.1 vintage, box is already filled for me, click Done, computer says no. Check in regedit, it is using the key code from their, the one Origin gave it on installation I assume, MassEffect Launcher.exe don't like it. Any work-around or do I need to spend two days on hold to a call centre?
