How do I Import My Mass effect 1 character to mass effect 2 on Xbox 1

In ME2s main screen > New Game > Import ME1 character.

If you are on a different Xbox as you finished ME1 in the first place, you probable need to finish ME1 again on the new Xbox.

You can't import a character that was made on another platform.

Thanks. What I had to do was beat the last boss again and then put mass effect 2 in
