My first playthrough of Mass Effect was on German. So I bought the two DLCs titled: Pinnacle Station [DE] & Kollisionskurs [DE]
Now I want to play the English version. So I had to buy an English Mass Effect because there is always just one voice output on these big games.
I've asked the BioWare support about the language embedded in the DLCs. According to them it shouldn't be a problem for ME2 & ME3 that I bought the DLCs originally for the German version. Unfortunately they couldn't tell me if it would work with ME1. So I had to try.
The answer is: It doesn’t work. If you change to a game with another language, you have to buy the DLCs for this version as well. At least for ME1.
I haven't tried it with ME2 or 3 yet. So if anyone has an answer to that, please feel free to post it. Otherwise I will post it as soon as I get there.
