Mass Effect 1 transfered to Mass Effect 2 (pc)

★★★ Newbie

I bought Mass Effect 2 on a disk.

I did not however buy Mass Effect 1,3 on a disk.

Is it possible to transfer Mass Effect 1 onto the second game even though I bought the second game on a disk.

Once I install Mass Effect 2 I cant seem to load my character, can anyone please help me.

It should work the same. You should either:

1. Manually import your save to Mass Effect 2.

or

2. Use the Mass Effect 2 Configuration Utility and create a save directory.

Yes, save file importing works regardless of whether you have the disc, Steam or Origin version. ME1 save files are always in the same format. For more info on importing, refer to the sticky thread in the ME2 forum.

It's even possible to import Xbox files to PC, but that's an entirely different story. Standard smile
