Mass Effect 1 character cannot be imported to Mass Effect 2 in PS3

★★★ Newbie

I just finish playing Mass Effect 1 from the trilogy and I tried to import the character to ME2, using my old ME2 disc not the ME2 disc from trilogy box, somehow it cannot detect any save file from ME1. Then I tried using the ME2 disc from the trilogy box and it detect the ME1 save file.

So my question is, is there a region lock for ME save files? Also is there a region lock for cerberus network pass and ME3 online pass? When I play using the ME2 and ME3 disc from the trilogy box, it did not recognise my cerberus network pass and my online pass. However the online pass still work if I use the old discs.

My old ME2 disc is Australia stock while the ME trilogy is from Asia stock (a gift).

I already downloaded the 1.04 patch for ME2

Hi kur4p1k4,

If you are running into issues with saves on the PS3, then this might be indeed due to region mismatch.

the problem for me is that when i exit out of ME1 the enter existing ID option for a new game disappears, which obviously means ME2 will not be able to see it when i ask to import a ME1 character.

i have the game patched, and i bought the trilogy pack

i have removed game data for both ME and ME2 and reinstalled both

the final save after defeating Saren is not 'staying saved'

check to see if you can still 'enter existing ID' when starting a new game ME1

please fix!!
