OK, look which key is displayed in Origin for ME1.
Put the that key in the registry and restart your machine.
If that don't helps and if it was not the same key you got from support, try the key you got from support. > restart > test.
Also please create a DxDiag and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.

@holger1405
Should I delete the code that was already in there?
November 2016
Yes, but save it to a text file.

Hi @SerBeefcake
Nothing in the DXDiag that would explain that problem.
Where did you downloaded the 1.02 Patch?
Download it again from here.
Make sure Origin and the Game are closed.
Run the "MassEffect_EFIGS_1.02.exe" as Administrator.
> Test
If that don't helps, please go to your ">Drive<:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 3" folder and run the "MassEffectLauncher.exe". Then start ME1 from the Main Window.
If that still don't works, the only way I see is to completely uninstall ME1.
- Close Origin completely.
- Uninstall the Game from the Windows control panel.
- Use "CCleaner" to clean the Registry as described in this guide. (Scroll down to the Registry cleaning guide. Make the backup when asked!)
- Make sure Origin is set for "Automatic game updates".
- Reinstall ME1.
- Test
