So this is what happens exactly. I open the game. It goes through the initial screen and stops at the Title Screen. After I click a button to move to the next part it goes to a black screen with the music still playing.
It also gives me a Message if I go back to windows that says "ReadFile beyond EOF 137+4/137 for file C:\Users\Sampson\Documents\Bioware\MassEffect\Save\Profile.MassEffectProfile"
Crazy thing is I was playing ME last night no issues and all of a sudden today came the issue.
This is what I've tried so far.
I am running Mass Effect 1 through Origin. I have gone right to binaries and try to run it straight from there as well.
Direct X installed both the new and the old
Compatibility mode is activated for Windows XP Service pack 3 it is also preset to be run as Administrator.
Uninstalled and reinstalled the game 3 times
Uninstalled, downloaded and installed Origin itself twice.
Ran repair on the game through Origin. As well as checked to see if there are any updates I am missing.
I have gone into Biogame-Config-DefaultEngine and changed that sound setting to False.
Nothing seems to work. I have submitted a ticket to EA but that is probably useless. I have spent hours trying to get this game to run and trying different options
over and over again just hoping something would work. Been working on this since like 3 today...
Does anyone have any suggestions?

- Make sure Origin and the game are not running
- Move the "Profile.MassEffectProfile" file from your "C:\Users\Sampson\Documents\Bioware\MassEffect\Save
- Restart Origin and test the Game.
