help needed in benching my player in nhl17 be like a pro mode

i know this might sound silly but how do i bench my player? it says use the L button to skate to the bench and i do that, however i cannot get onto the bench when my player's energy is low. i'm standing right at the bench. am i missing something?

Hmm. There is a specific spot near the bench where you have to skate, but you should be seeing a red target like icon there. Do you have positional indicators on?
If it's still not working you might need to start a new career and overwrite that file, might be a glitch.

I would check to see if you have the game set to classic or authentic in settings. Classic does not allow for line changes.

if your talking about "be a pro setting" above be a pro simming penalty. its set to authentic
