Cupid + Forcefield bug?

★★★ Newbie

So there's a bug in the game. Had a plant in the forcefield environment, bananasaurus to be exact. Opponent plays a zombie cupid, targets the bananasaurus and it actually drops the attack to 0?? The description says the cupid deals damage to a plant and then that plant gets 0 attack. But it didnt even get damaged since it was in the forcefield? what.

That was weird. I have not seen this situation before. The effect of Stupid Cupid should affect plants which can be damaged. This excludes plants with armoured and can't-be-hurt effect. But did it make 1 damage to your Bananasaurus?

there are two things that happen

1 damage

reduce attack to zero

for this reason you can target any plant to reduce it's attack to zero (armoured or not)

I believe this is the case.  The attack reduction is not conditional on the damage (as opposed to something like Deadly, which only takes effect if it does damage).

Stupid Cupid has two abilities that are mutually exclusive.

The wording makes it sound like one ability is dependent on the other. But as you can see, it is not.

The wording on the card should be updated.

"Pick a plant; Do one damage to that plant and reduce it's attack to zero this turn" would work.
