Just wondering if anyone saw this note.... Found it at the kett base before the moshae rescue. Also wondering if it is The Benefactor or just someone who did someone a favor.

i do recall seeing that. i see a lot of implications that can be made about that message, however i find most to be fairly implausible. then again i find a lot of things in ME:A to be completely implausible given mass effect's lore, and well, common sense. though, it might be possible for that message to be an intercept between two individuals not connected to the kett... that makes the most sense.
as to cerberus being the benefactor, either that or the old shadow broker setting the whole thing in motion. however, i still find cerberus the more likely candidate.

@CasperTheLich Wasn't Cerberus a human extremist group? Wouldn't they contradict themselves if they helped funding the Initiative?

Cerberus was about saving humanity at any cost and bettering the himan species overall. They weren't above using aliens to reach their goals. So if they found out about the initiative and the cost of saving 20k+ humans to let the race survive was also saving other races they would have taken it, to save humanity.

Actually the shadow broker might not be such a far off idea, if we consider the DLC, and the fact that the shadow broker was replaced, by this other creature.
Assumed he was killed. by it.
What if the shadow broker gave his post to the Creature, as a reward, jumped in a cryo pod, and 600 years latter is alive, and kicking in MEA ? He for sure had oodles of money, and his knowledge, and dealings with the Collectors, would have given him a unique perspective.
If he was not killed, he for sure had lots of in-tell on the reapers, If he decided to leave town, via the initiative to avoid the reapers.
Far fetched, Maybe, but so is the idea that Cerberus would actually forward money to send aliens to another galaxy when they are very much Human supremacists.
I mean the writers can do most anything, but Cerberus saving all of the alien species , I have trouble swallowing that.
