I know I'm missing something really obvious, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to do this during a dinner date.

while your sim is eating they appear in the friendly interactions. things like discuss flavours (or something along those lines), and have little crossed knife and fork icons (like the diner icons) next to the interaction.
