Purchasing Development Upgrade

When I try to purchase the development trait from quick to superstar I get a message that reads "ATTENTION The package could not be purchased."

What is the deal with this? I played CFM since madden NFL 13 and I like to get the superstar first think. Why cant I purchase the upgrade in Madden NFL 18?

They can spend all of this time creating modes that no one asked for but can't manage to not break something that they had in the game last year?

I am also having this issue with Madden 18 on PS4.

Found out that if you wait until after you play a game and right before you move on to the next week I could purchase the superstar trait. Please confirm it that work for you guys.

i get the same thing sometimes but when i can buy it it takes away a few thousand extra points

I think its overcharging for upgrades.  I had WR  T. Williams whose superstar dev upgrade is shown as 13k.. .   When I finally got to 18+k  in xp... it FINALLY let me purchase it and left a couple hundred left over...  so it must have charged around 16-18k.    So those superstar upgrades range from 13k - 33k ishI believe depending on the player. 

P.S. waiting till end of the week activities complete was not the fix for me.  

P.S.S  It looks to only be overcharging for traits so far not abilities.  

Looks like most but not all players affected... the overcharge price seems consistent  so far.
