As some of you might've already seen The Sims 4 will be coming to consoles on November 17th, 2017 (for Xbox One owners with an EA Access subscription it will be even sooner)!
Here you can find some frequently asked questions:
Will there be an early access trial for EA Access members?
Yes! Xbox One owners with an EA Access subscription will be able to try the game as soon as November 9th. Conditions, limitations, and exclusions apply.

What do I get for pre-ordering the Standard Edition?
By pre-ordering the Standard Edition* on console, you will receive The Sims™ 4 Perfect Patio Stuff featuring hot tubs, more fashion, and bonus décor at launch.

What do I get for pre-ordering the Deluxe Party Edition?
By pre-ordering the Deluxe Party Edition** on console, you will get access to the game up to 3 days early (November 14th), alongside: The Sims™ 4 Perfect Patio Stuff; Life of the Party Digital Content; Up All Night Digital Content; and Awesome Animal Hats Digital Content. The Life of the Party Digital Content features the Flaming Tiki Bar and sleek, stylized outfits for your Sims, the Up All Night Digital Content features the Laser Light Show, fun decorations, and outrageous party costumes, and the Awesome Animal Hats Digital Content features a collection of fun animal hats for your Sims to wear and show off.

What features are in this version?
The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will contain some of the great updates added to the base game since launch, ranging from Ghosts and Pools to New Careers, Half-Walls, Dishwashers and more. Not to mention, we also added the world of Newcrest to give your Sims space to continue to grow; overhauled the Create a Sim tool to provide expanded gender customization options; and most recently, added Toddlers as a new playable life state!
Will I be able to use in-game cheats?
Absolutely! Players will be able to use nearly every cheat from PC on console.
How will the Gallery work and how can player share user-generated content?
The Gallery will not be available in the Xbox One or PlayStation 4 versions, but players can still share their experience using the social features that are integrated into those platforms.
Will you continue to release free game updates post-launch as you have done on the PC?
We aim to update the game periodically with new features and enhancements.
What downloadable content will be released at launch on November 17, 2017?
Along with the base game, the following additional content will be available

The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack
The Sims 4 Vintage Glamour Stuff Pack

What downloadable content will be released after launch?
We’ll be revisiting The Sims 4 DLC lineup to bring some your favourite Expansion, Game, and Stuff Packs to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 after launch, and are excited to share more information in the months ahead.

What does The Sims 4 Bundle include?

Is there a season pass?
There will not be a season pass for downloadable content.
Will downloadable content on console have all the same content as their PC/Mac equivalents?
Yes, the console version of the DLC will have everything that the PC/Mac versions have.

Will downloadable content be priced the same as on PC?
Yes, prices will be on par with those in Origin, not including sales/promotions.
What social features will there be on Console?
Console players will be able to share screenshots, stream gameplay using the platforms’ built-in functionality, and access the in-game game hub.
If I own The Sims 4 on PC or Mac, do my downloadable content purchases transfer to Xbox One or PlayStation 4 versions?
Content purchased is platform specific and will not be transferable to a new platform.
If I own The Sims 4 on PC or Mac, do my file saves and creations transfer to the Xbox One or PlayStation 4 versions?
Save files and creations are specific to the platform they are originally created on and are non-transferable.
If I don’t pre-order, can I still get The Sims 4 Perfect Patio Stuff Pack at a later date?
Don’t worry, you won’t miss out! The Sims 4™ Perfect Patio Stuff Pack will be available for purchase after launch.
What team is developing the game?
Maxis is working with the talented team at Blind Squirrel Games to bring The Sims 4 to Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Will there be achievements/trophies available?
Yes! We will have trophy/achievement support on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
What's the difference between the Standard Edition and the Deluxe Party Edition?
While both the Standard and Deluxe Party Edition will launch with 3 years of free game updates and features on day-one (including Toddlers, Pools, and expanded customization options) The Deluxe Party Edition also offers players up to 3 days early access, as well as Life of the Party Digital Content; Up All Night Digital Content; and Awesome Animal Hats Digital Content.
Can I bring my expansions/DLC from the pc to the console?
Content purchased is platform specific and will not be transferable to a new platform.
Will the game be available for Xbox 360/systems of older generations?
The Sims 4 will only be released for Xbox One and Playstation 4.
Will there be a physical copy of the game available?

Are there any differences between the console and computer versions?
The console versions of The Sims 4 will have many of the same great features and updates at launch that are currently on PC, with the exceptions of the Gallery, mods, and social events.
What plans do you have for social events like in-game challenges, and boost weeks?
These will not be supported on console at this time.
Will I be able to use mods?
Mods and Custom Content are not supported on Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
What social features will there be on Console?
Console players will be able to share screenshots, stream gameplay using the platforms’ built-in functionality, and access the in-game game hub.
Will all expansions currently available for computer be immediately available for purchase on the Xbox One and PS4? If not, when will Vampires be released?
We’ll have more information to share in the coming months, but we look forward to sharing some of the best The Sims 4 experiences with players on console after launch.
Will Toddlers be availabe for the console version upon release?
Yes! Simmers will have access to toddlers on console. However, the Toddler Stuff Pack will not be available at launch.

no, custom content and mods are not going to be in there as there isn't an easy way via file system.
There might be users that will figure out how to do it anyways but it won't be supported in any way.
