when I load from disc it says i need vista 6 or better I have win 7.

Please make sure that you are not running Origin or your game in compatibility mode (right click a shortcut for the game/Origin, go into Properties - Compatibility and make sure the 'Run this prog. in comp. mode' is unticked).
