How come i can't install sims 4 on disc, rather than download from origin

You should be able to install from disc. If for some reason Origin only allows download, try placing Origin in offline mode (Origin menu in top left hand corner of the client) and then try the installation again.

What exactly happens when you try to install with Origin in offline mode? Does the installation not start? Do you get some error messages?
