What to do if your PSN is linked to a disabled.ea.com account

★★★ Newbie

FINALLY... after 1.5 years, I have my PSN account linked to a working EA account.

The live chat never used to work, and now it does!

I selected a game under the help section (F1 23 to be precise) and it took me to a live chat page where I spoke to someone and told them briefly what the issue is. They tried getting me to go through the EA help forum but I explained it's a glitch and the email is not associated with me.

He then said he can unlink my account only if I agree to a disclaimer saying my old EA account (I guess he meant the one associated with the disabled.ea.com) would be deleted. He then proceeded to unlink it, and then boom... I could now link my current EA account to my PSN! Wooooooo!
