It won't let me log in to Origin

So I tried to log in to the tiny screen of Origin and it kept saying "You must be online when logging in for the first time"

Have you added Origin to the exceptions for your virus program and to Windows? It sounds like that is what is stopping you from going online.

Also having problems. Recently bought sims 4 and origin says its offline but when i get onto the website im able to sign in on my account. Disabled seurity to see if that was the problem and still not working.
