I just bought Dragon Age II for my PC and I installed the game no problem, but it says that I still need to install it even though I've already done so. I tried installing it again like it asked me to, but it didn't work. I have tried multiple things to try to fix this, but it still won't let me play the game. Does anyone have any ideas for what I should do?

@lesbianquisitor Thanks. If the game was installed in a location other than the default one, you'd have had to specifically choose how to do so. For future reference you can find details on this here, but don't worry about it for now.
If you have the bandwidth for it you could try grabbing Mass Effect 2 for free from the store and try install that as a test?
In some cases Anti-virus software can block/interfere with the install process, you can try temporarily disabling your AV software, then attempt the reinstall.

@lesbianquisitor Thanks for the post. Can you list the steps you've tried already?
Can I check if you're installing to a drive other than C? Have you tried restarting Origin as an administrator? Do you have any other Origin games, do these have similar install issues?
Thanks.

@EA_David I've tried restarting Origin as an administrator, I've tried restarting my computer, and I've logged out and logged back in to Origin several times, but nothing seems to have made a difference. I'm not very good at things like this so I'm not quite sure what there is left to do that I haven't tried.
I'm not entirely sure how to change where the game will install to, and if there was an option presented to me I'm pretty sure I would have just chosen the default option. Also, I don't have any other games on my Origin account.

@EA_David I temporarily disabled AVG and it installed properly, I opened the game and was able to play it! Thank you so very much, you have been very helpful. I will try disabling AVG again if I have any problems installing programs in the future.
