Dragon Age stuck

I got a new computer, and Dragon Age 2 downloaded but gets stuck on the screen that says Press any key. This also happens with my version on Dragon Age Origins, btw. I see a lot of people seem to be having the same problems but none of the solutions that I could figure out worked. I say that because I'm not a big gamer so some of the possible solutions just confused me, but so far nothing has worked. Please help!
