DA2 Save Import Question.

I remember that there were some issues with importing from Awakening into Dragon Age 2, that some important choices you made regarding who you saved and spent time with may not carry over correctly. Have this issues ever been properly fixed or a mod issued to fix them? Its been ages since I remember reading this but getting close to finishing awaking and trying to remember what all was effected by Awakening in DA2 that was potentially bugged.
