Suffering from the same problem as described in the thread.
The listed "solution" doesn't work at all.
I paid for the Awakened DLC content and now cannot access it, because of this stupid problem.
Does Origin in-Game work for anyone out there?

Suffered through this problem until I found a fix that worked for me.
I had MSI afterburner running while I played the game.
I uninstalled Origin, downloaded it from EA, fresh copy, reinstalled and updated it.
Then I played the game with MSI, etc shut off and it worked.
Cheers

Go to the Origin game library and click on the game settings for the individual game you are playing. Find the settings option for Origin in game and turn it on from there. It has to be turned on in both locations for it to work.

Its borked, cant get it to run on any my origin games despite following all the steps. I wanna use the in game tab for a few things but this is why nobody likes EA. anyway, any suggestions?
April 2018
tried compatability settings and no dice

No DICE............. hehehehe.
Anyway. I am also having a similar problem. In my case it seems my security program is killing something it needs to function. Which is intensely annoying. Cant report hackers easily.

@Andergum This should be a sticky - if they have them, this is the correct answer, thanks.

I had the same problem, tried everything from forums but nothing works, for me the problem was in anti-virus, just turn off Behaviour Shield (on Avast or AVG since I used both now just Avast) and you are good to go.
