Origin In Game Unavailable

I have contact live chat customer service 6 times, none of them solved this problem.

Based on their instruction and my research on Google, I have tried the following, and finally they ask me to post a thread here and FINALLY admited there's something wrong with their game or Origin Client, but not my system!

 

EA! YOU SHOULD REALLY FIX THIS FOR US! I HAVE WASTED 72 HOURS ON THIS!

 

1. Install/Re-install Origin Client several times, include using CCleaner, Revo Uninstaller, manually uninstall, Windows safe mode reinstall;

2, Install/Re-install DS3 several times, include using CCleaner, Revo Uninstaller, manually uninstall, Windows safe mode reinstall;

3. Check/Uncheck Origin In Game both in Game properties and Application settings;

4. Uncheck Notifitions;

5. Tried using full screen, windowed full screen, windowed in DS3 game setting with and with out turning on vsync;

6. Add TCP and UDP ports;

7. Disable all my other services, antivirus software, firewalls;

8, Repair/Update DS3;

9. Upgrade DS3 to limited version;

10. Clean DNS.

11. Restart router;

12. Disconnect/Reconnect wireless internet, using cabled internet;

13. Went to my friend's house using their internet;

14. I can't even remember how many steps I have taken during last 72 hours...

AbhishekThere is no issue with the system settings. (So why after I did all those s**t and you told me my system setting was correct? I have provide this file once earlier!)

Abhishekit seems that it is an ingame bug.(and finally admited it was not my problem. Why not ealier before I made those changes to my system?)

Hi Barry,

 

I have tried update my Origin and my game, it's not working.

I also tried Origin Beta vision, but that made things even worse, I could not even run the game!

 

I got no problem for other games such as BF3, BF4. only DS3 has this problem.

We released a new version of Origin last night that should help you with this:

 

  1. Make sure your game is closed 
  2. Make sure Origin In Game is enabled (Origin menu - Application Settings - Origin In Game)
  3. Close Origin
  4. Download a setup file from the following link: https://download.dm.origin.com/origin/forum/RL-3279/OriginSetup.exe
  5. Run the downloaded file
  6. Try to launch the game again

I had this problem and it was really frustrating, I tried contacting EA support and they didn't know how to fix it.

Did some fiddling around.

 

Long story short:

 

EXIT STEAM.  (worked for myself, and friends that I had test it)

 

Steam somehow conflicts with Origin's overlay.  Probably by design.  *shakes angry fist at EA*.
