Mouse lag on DS3 [ Edited ]

This question may have been asked umpteen times, but here it is again. How do I fix the infamous mouse lag in Dead Space 3? I've forced v-sync in Nvidia control panel and disabled in-game as this is the most common advice on any site but this still doesn't help. My pointer moves like 1 sec after I move my mouse. That's really messing with my aiming and takes the fun away.

Processor: Intel i5 2450M

Graphics processor: Nvidia Geforce GT 540M

RAM: 6 GB

OS: Windows 7 64-bit

Uses Nvidia Optimus technology
