Dead Space 3 wont save

Dead Space 3 has saved at a certain point further play after this point cannot be saved- and I have played a load. I do not want to keep repeating the same portion of the game so please help me configure this game so it will save.

The most recent save may be corrupt. Try deleting the most recent save and continue from the previous one.
