Dead Space 3 not downloading

I recently bought Dead Space 3 on Origin and started downloading it.  When the download reached 40% it stopped and refused to download any further.  Then when I tried to restart the download it refused to start it altogether.  I have the default download location set, what could the problem be?

Personal opinion: Origin sucks **bleep**.  If I could I would have bought DS3 on Steam in a heartbeat and never considered Origin, but since Steam doesn't offer DS3 I'm stuck with this.

Also, the solution that EA offers on it's website for this problem is for Windows XP, and that is ridiculous.  It's not the early 2000s anymore!
