Crash when start up.

[ Edited ]
★★ Novice

So this started happening the second time I ever launched deadspace 3 on my computer. Me and my friend play deadspace 3 for a good 1 or 2 hours in a sitting, then we were done for the day. Proving my computer could run it, plus I hade it on max of every setting with 40 fps. The next day we tried to play it didnt work for me. What has been happening is I launch the game and I can see a small amount of the launch cutscene thing. Then it freezes goes black, takes me back to my desktop, and get the not responding message, then it also loops 1 frame of the sound from the game, most of the time low pitch. Please message me about a fix I have checked crash wiki and every thing. Thanks

Something that is commonly overlooked is audio drivers. Looping sound before a crash indicates an audio driver issue. If you use a discrete audio card the audio driver update is relatively straightforward.

If you use the sound from your motherboard then a BIOS update may be required. BIOS updates are a little more involved and you should be very sure that this process is completed by the book as there are risks involved. If you are going to perform a BIOS update be sure you know your exact motherboard model and version and that the update is 100% compatible with your hardware.

So I updated the drivers for my Audio card but it did not work, so im starting to think that it is a problem with my motherboard, because I know my motherboard does not have sound for the second option you told me to do so I think I could try to remove the Audio card and just play with no sound

You should not have to play without sound. Check for and install updated video drivers and Important Windows Updates.

If you continue to have an issue you can post a link to your Dxdiag and we can take a look.
